 Tom was friends with Becky and he often visited the Thatchers. Huck lived with Mrs Dougles. He slept in a bed and he wore clean clothes. But Huck did not like clean clothes and beds. He did not want to stay in St Petersburg for ever. One day, he got into a small boat and he went south. He travelled down the Mississippi River. But that is another story!

    I read the book called "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer". Time is 1844. Place is St Petersburg on the Mississippi River. Main characters are Tom Sawyer and one of his friend, Huck Finn. They were 11 years old. Tom's parent were dead, so he lived with his aunt Polly. Huck has no mother, sister, brother, aunt or uncle. His father lived far away St. Petersburg, so he lived alone and he slept outside by the river or inside a barn. Also he didn't go to church and school. The other boys wanted to be Huck. One day, Tom met Huck who had a dead cat. Huck himself said he used the dead cat to cure his warts. He said the bad man died and people bury him in the ground. In the midnight, ghosts came to take away the dead man, so he followed the ghosts. And cat follow the dead man and the cat follow the warts. Such being the case, they went to the graveyard at the midnight. However, at the graveyard, they watched murder....

    I had read this story when I was an elementary school student. However I forgot the story. So, it reminded the story this time. Through this story, I learn the author of this book. The author of this book is Mark Twain. It was the name of the writer Samuel Langhorne Clemens. I surprised that the story which were written long ago have been read and loved people all over the world. If you are interested in this story or author, please read it.
