 After Diana's Death

The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund was started on the 14th of September 1997. When it began, there was £19 million in the fund, Money that Diana left and money from Prince Charles was put into the fund. Money from the people of Britain, and money from the sales of Sir Elton John's song, 'Candle in the Wind', was also put in.

The fund gives money to people for three reasons. The first reason is to stop the use of landmines, and to help people hurt by landmines. The second is to help people in Africa who are dying from an illness, for example AIDS. The third is to give money to help young people in the UK with special difficulties.

 I read the book called "Princess Diana". She has been loved people all over the world. She was beautiful and she became princess, so everyone thought she was happy. However, she had a lot of difficulties. When she was a child, her parents divorced and she lived with her father. But, her father married again without telling his children the wedding after he divorced. When she married with Prince Charles, she had problems about her mental and body. And she divorced. She was hounded by the media because everyone was interested in her private. Although she had a lot of difficulties, she did a lot of charity not only in the UK but also in other countries. Unfortunately, finally she died on the morning of the 31st of August 1997. Dianna is dead, but her memory lives on.

 Through this book I understand the reason why Princess Diana has been loved people all over the world. I respect her because used her money for people who suffered from poor and sick. If you are interested in Princess Diana, please read it.
