Hansel and Gretel

 As the pair neared the house, a delicious smell wafted past.

 "Freshly baked cakes!" cried Gretel. She ran closer... and gasped. The walls were made from chunks of cake and the roof was glistening chocolate.

 "It looks scrumptious," she said, hardly believing her eyes.

 "And tastes even better," mumbled Hansel, already munching on a windowsill.

 Even the windows smelled sweet. Gretel licked one.

 "It's sugar!"

 There was a poor family in a forest. Father was a woodcutter. He had a boy and a girl. His name was Hansel and Her name was Gretel. Their stepmother was unkind for them. So, their stepmother didn't give enough foods for her children and husband. One day the stepmother had a bad idea. That idea was to leave Hansel and Gretel deep in the forest. The next day the stepmother and father leave their children in deep forest. But Hensel made way marks. Finally they came to their house. And their stepmother tried leaving her children in the deep forest again. So, Hensel and Gretel were lost their way. They started to walking and they find sweet house. However, the sweet house was witch's house!

 I had read this story in Japanese again and again, but I read it for the first time for a long time. It made me excited. I like the scene, which Gretel save Hensel.
